Verse: Psalm 103
God the Father is referred to as “Father” for the very reason that he is first and foremost a Father. In the fellowship of our Triune God, Jesus is the eternal Son, which means God has always been Father. Before he was ever Creator, he was Father. Before he was ever Ruler, he was Father. It’s the most foundational thing about God. And so all his ways are wonderfully and beautifully and gloriously fatherly.
